Maven wants to be normal, but being normal isn’t easy when you’re the only half-pixie attending a high school for humans. Cotton candy pink hair, tends to stand out. Her only chance to get out of the human school, is for her pixie half to take over, but that’s just not happening.

There’s a bunch of supernatural issues, as well as life’s realities, going on with this short story The Trouble With Pixies.Please also let me share this debut story offered by the talented Jolie Byrne is definitely a winner, in my humble opinion.
As an adult, I enjoyed the story, the plot, and the characters, especially Maven Alexander. In this fantasy (great reading for both young and old, by the way), Maven has some issues regarding her appearance causing her angst in school. Not only that her pixie powers are beginning to reach their precipice.
From there, Mavin’s story simply takes off, and the reader is drawn in, like I was, to see how Mavin solves her many problems.
Picture this: Some of her detractors in school might perhaps find this out about her powers in a huge way, and maybe, just maybe, they might be sorry. Or they could open their eyes and be grateful for her friendship.
Since I never read and tell the entire tale, I will share this: The Trouble With Pixies is a delightful read, and I hope to read more from this talented author.
Five stars from me, and very well deserved. Jolie, I think you’ve found you niche. Hugs.

An interesting read, couldn't put it down after starting, could almost say it was too short.
I bought this book on a whim and was thoroughly delighted. This lighthearted story full of fun and fantasy makes me wonder what the future holds for maven.
Good little read- If only more people helped each other in simple ways like this, the world would be a better place!

Good book! Interesting Concept! Would like to see it go further with series of characters who use the shop for a lot of different problems....
The story moved way too fast and I wish I could've known more. That's my only complaint.
I love the idea behind this little series of books, that the store will show up in peoples lives when they need it most.
Engaging little debut tale from Jolie Byrne. Even in this short tale she paints a complex world, where pixies, wizards and who knows what else are coming out and the world is changing.
